stem lab enrichment Teacher 
The Learning Vine offers various enrichment classes for grade K-12 homeschool students.  We are currently seeking one or two teachers for the enrichment STEM classes.  These classes are offered on Friday mornings from 11:00am until 11:55am for ages 9-13 and 12:30pm until 1:25 pm for ages 6-10 throughout the 2018-2019 school year.  

STEM lab enrichment Teacher description

  • STEM Lab A (ages 6-10) meets Fridays 12:30 pm – 1:25 pm
  • STEM Lab B (ages 9-13) meets Fridays 11:00 am - 11:55 am
  • Teachers are required to arrive 30 minutes before class to set up and prepare classroom and to remain after class as needed to clean up. ​​
  • Create and execute syllabus and weekly lesson plans.  
  • Provide varied activities focusing on STEM concepts. These activities should include both group and individual work for students. The teacher will receive resource books with ideas. Most classes will have an engineering focus that includes science, technology, and math concepts. 
  • Supply materials for each lesson. These can be as simple as recyclables or office supplies..  
  • Manage a classroom of at least 10 and no more than 18 students  
  • Set the standard for classroom behavior and expectations for Christian conduct for the school year.​
  • Willing and able to work with a team of co-workers; setting a model example of a professional Christian educator.

Teacher Requirements

  • H.S Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Knowledgeable in area of interest.  
  • Some prior teaching experience preferred demonstrating the ability to work well with a group of children in a structured setting.   (ie public/private school, homeschool coop, church, coaching, etc)  ​
  • Be in agreement with the mission, vision and statement of faith of The Learning Vine
  • A willingness to work closely with Homeschooling parents to educate their children.  
  • Be willing to submit to appropriate background check ​
