Frequently Asked Questions: Enrichment Classes
Q: What are the parental responsibilities during the co-op?
A: There are no parental responsibilities other than supervising your children who are under the age of 12 if they have an off period. A family room is provided for this. Children are never allowed in the CCC Cafe during LV hours, even with a parent.
Q: Can I drop my child off or do I need to be present?
A: You do not need to be present as long as your children are enrolled in consecutive classes. You must be present to supervise children under 12 if they are not in a class. Students age 12+ may register for Quiet Study Hall during off periods or volunteer to be a teacher or administrative assistant. No students, of any age, are allowed in the Cafe during LV hours (with or without an adult).
Q: Can I post an announcement on your mailing list or set out a flyer that may be of interest to those in your group?
A: No. The Learning Vine mailing list and sign in counter is meant only for news pertaining to our own co-op.
Q: Are you affiliated with any denomination?
A: No. All of the teachers at The Learning Vine are professed Christians of various denominations and churches. We are not affiliated with our host, Community Christian Church.
Q: Are refunds allowed once classes have begun?
A: Refunds are not allowed at any time for any reason.
Q: Can my child start in the middle of a semester?
A: No. All students must attend the orientation at the beginning of the year (or start of second semester).
Q: How do I change my child's classes?
A: Changes to a student's enrichment classes can be made by filling out the Add/Change form on the LV Families page of the website. Changes can only be made up to the first day of classes.
