Frequently Asked Questions for the Academic Program
Q: Do the parents need to stay on site during academic classes?
A: No, as long as their child is engaged in consecutive classes. If there is a gap in the child’s schedule, the parent may sign the child up for a study hall hour (additional fees apply). If not, the parent must come to the church to monitor the child during his time off.
Q: Can I make payments on the tuition?
A: Yes, but there is an additional fee for this option. Please see the Fee page for details.
Q: Is LV affiliated with Community Christian Church or any other church or denomination?
A: No, we are not. All of our teachers are professed Christians from various traditions. All agree with the LV Statement of Faith and are committed to avoiding doctrinal disputes in the classroom.
Q: Will I receive transcripts for my child’s records?
A: Yes. All grading is included in the price of the program. Printable report cards will be issued each semester.
Q: Will my high school student receive a high school diploma from LV?
A: No. Your child will graduate from your home school. You are responsible for keeping records and report cards that are provided for you by LV.
Q: All of the courses appear to be Honors level. Are there any regular track courses for high school students?
A: No. We want to encourage excellence and provide a learning environment where students are always being stretched. Giving our children the vision that they can achieve high set goals will provide the impetus they need to excel.
