Theory, technique and performance will be an integral part of each lesson. Piano books can be purchased by the teacher after student evaluation. These will cost about $20 per semester. |

| Description | PraiseDance Project Dance Technique melds classical ballet studies, modern dance, creative dance and worship into one hour for those students interested in training and exploring different dance styles. Dance Technique emphasizes strength, flexibility, alignment, & musicality. Students will explore ballet technique using traditional methods of ballet barre, center and corner work exercises. Modern Dance will be taught using the Horton technique with center and corner work. Creative Dance will explore the different elements of dance; time, space, flow, weight and relationships. Worship dance will combine these 3 dance styles using contemporary and/or traditional Christian music. The class will culminate in learning a worship dance using a selection of movement from ballet, modern and creative dance. Students will learn not only how to dance, but how to honor the Lord through dance. |

Parents may order through Mrs. Adams before or at Orientation. |

| Description | Bev Larkin will teach students the basics of acoustic or electric guitar playing, including 10 or more common chords, how to read chord diagrams, typical chord progressions, ways to strum the guitar, and some simple God-honoring songs as well as songs of the student’s choice. If desired, the curriculum can include reading music and playing melodies rather than chords only. The specific level of instruction will depend upon the needs and previous experience of the particular individual. Permission must be received from the instructor for children under 9 years old. Bev’s current guitar students continuing from the fall semester will receive first priority as long as they register in a timely fashion. Please specify 2-3 possible half-hour time slots in order of preference when you pre-register. The “supply fee” is a non-refundable deposit paid directly to the instructor after a time slot is approved which will guarantee your child’s spot. | Description | Zach Goforth is currently accepting new students for private lessons in guitar (acoustic and electric), bass, and voice. Zach has a BA in voice from Trinity Christian College and has been teaching and performing in Chicagoland for over 12 years. For the past 3 years, Zach was the adult and student Arts Director at Community Christian Church's Montgomery campus. In addition to teaching, Zach frequently performs and records for local songwriters and bands like Andrea Dawn, Jeremy Keen, and Jeremiah Higgins. Zach teaches all ages and skill levels and all styles. |
