Accountability with Flexibility:
- Parents work with their students at home on assignment completion over the period of 4 weeks. Since most assignments will be collected monthly, there will be more flexibility in the homeschool with finishing assignments.
- There will be the option to collect up to two months of assignments for students that are able to work ahead.
- Monthly Parent/Instructor Meeting: to collect Homework Folders and discuss assignments, expectations, and classroom events. Parents can ask questions and gain added support and encouragement from LV staff and other parents.
- Once each month, parents meet with LV Instructor to collect and discuss assignments.
Grading/Record Keeping:
- Parents check student assignments (with Teacher Edition/Answer Keys) and tests at home. Select homework assignments, all writing assignments, and all tests are turned in to LV Instructors for grading/record keeping once per month.
- Some curriculum, textbooks and consumables will be lent to the student, but families will be responsible for some curriculum purchases. A full book list will be provided at the end of the summer.
- LV Instructor and Administrative Support: Full support and communication with LV instructor and staff for encouragement, guidance and support.
