Full Year Curriculum: Our program covers language arts, math, science, and social studies for the school year.

Readiness Assessment is included and required for all new students!

Weekly Classroom Experience:
  • Weekly classes: Classes meet 30 times (although there are 32 weeks of work given) throughout the school year (Mondays— August through May).  Class meets from 9:00am-11:55am.
  • Differentiated instruction: Both homework and classwork in literacy and math will be leveled as needed.
  • Class time instruction: Instructor will introduce weekly lessons in literacy, writing, language, math, science, problem solving, fine motor and social skills.
  • Homework: Students will practice skills at home using paced out assignments provided by the instructor in the weekly packets.
  • Weekly parent information email: Parents receive an email from the instructor regarding what happened in class as well as any other important information regarding assignments or classroom projects.

Material Needs:
  • Textbooks: Some curriculum, textbooks and consumables will be lent to the student, but families will be responsible for some curriculum purchases including teacher guides. A full book list will be provided at the end of the summer.
  • Student supplies: crayons, pencils, glue sticks, and scissors. Full supply list will be available on the website at the end of the summer.
  • Classroom materials supplied by LV: classroom activities, games, manipulatives, and experiment materials.

 Parental Involvement:
  • At home instruction: Parents will be given weekly pacing guides and work with their students at home on assignment completion. While concepts will be introduced on Mondays, parents may need to provide additional instruction at home as noted in the pacing guide. Completed work will be checked by the instructor each Monday. Some assignments will be corrected at home for immediate feedback.
  • Support: Full support and communication with LV instructor and staff for encouragement, guidance and support.
