Junior & High school social studies Teacher
The Learning Vine offers various social studies classes for grade K-12 homeschool students.  We are currently seeking a teacher for the Jr & Sr History class.  

History Teacher description

  • Provide instruction in World History using our curriculum
  • Class meets Mondays. 
  • Teachers are required to arrive 30 minutes before class to set up and prepare classroom and to remain after class as needed to clean up. ​​
  • Create and execute syllabus and weekly lesson plans.  
  • Responsible to grading student work and maintain accurate records in our online grade-book.  
  • Communicate regularly with parents and administration via online messaging system. 
  • Manage a classroom of at least 8 and no more than 18 students  
  • Set the standard for classroom behavior and expectations for Christian conduct for the school year.
  • Provide varied lesson plans that include lecture, small group activities, games, application, presentations and other engaging activities
  • Prepare and provide a weekly pacing guide and homework packet for students and parent to work through Tuesday-Thursdays.  
  • Willing and able to work with a team of co-workers; setting a model example of a professional Christian educator.

Teacher Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Knowledgeable in area of interest.  
  • Some prior teaching experience preferred demonstrating the ability to work well with a group of children in a structured setting.   (ie public/private school, homeschool coop, church, coaching, etc)  ​
  • Be in agreement with the mission, vision and statement of faith of The Learning Vine
  • A willingness to work closely with Homeschooling parents to educate their children.  
  • Be willing to submit to appropriate background check ​
