Brain Power Strategy Games
Ages 8-12
Teacher: Bruck
This class teaches students a variety of games involving strategy. Games like backgammon, Mankalah and Chess are a few of the games that are introduced along with their history and variations. There will be a focus on chess from beginning players to advanced winning strategies. Students may bring in a strategy game from home twice during the semester on "game" day.

Hands on LEGO A / B
Ages: 6-10 / 8-12

Calling all LEGO enthusiasts! New build themes! New STEM and artistic challenges! New LEGO bricks to take home! Join us for another exciting LEGO adventure in this fun, hands-on class. Students will learn about all aspects of LEGO building while working both independently and in groups to build and present LEGO creations. Each week students will participate in a themed LEGO challenge, and most importantly have a chance to exercise their LEGO creativity and problem solving skills. Each exciting class will feature fun LEGO games and hands-on activities. At the end of the semester each student will get to take home the LEGO bricks (including at least one LEGO set) they used during the in-class challenges to add to their home LEGO collections.
