About The Learning Vine
Q: Is The Learning Vine an accredited program?
A: No, we are not. LV is a 501c3 educational service that complements your homeschooling efforts. Your home school is considered a private school by Illinois state law. We cannot and will not send official transcripts to any other institution on your behalf.
Q: Is LV affiliated with Grace Pointe Church or any other church or denomination?
A: No, we are not. All of our teachers are professed Christians from various traditions. All agree with the LV Statement of Faith and are committed to avoiding doctrinal disputes in the classroom.
Q: How large are the academic classes?
A. They range from 6-18 students each.

Parents Responsibilities
Q: Will I receive a grade report for my child’s records?
A: Yes. All grading is included in the price of the academic program. Printable report cards will be available online each semester. Once the school year has ended, we are no longer responsible for your child's grading records. Parents should download and keep these records for their students' official transcripts.
Q: Will my high school student receive a high school diploma from LV?
A: No. Your child will graduate from your home school. You are responsible for keeping records and report cards that are provided for you by LV.
Q: Do the parents need to stay on site during academic classes?
A: No, as long as their child is engaged in consecutive classes. If there is a gap in the child’s schedule, the parent may sign the child up for a study hall hour (additional fees may apply). This is only permitted for teen students. If he child is under 13, the parent must come to the church to monitor the child during his time off. A family room is available for this.
Q: What are the parental responsibilities during the co-op?
A: There are no parental responsibilities other than supervising your children who are under the age of 12 if they have an off period. A family room is provided for this.
Q: Can I post an announcement on your mailing list or set out a flyer that may be of interest to those in your group?
A: No. The Learning Vine mailing list and sign in counter is meant only for news pertaining to our own co-op.
