Lessons (FULL - Waiting List)
Instructor:
Bev Larkin
Bev
will teach students to develop the posture and good breathing
habits necessary for learning the basics of singing. As they
practice various exercises, simple songs, and music selections
of their own choice, they will develop their ear for singing
on pitch with a pleasant relaxed sound.
The specific
level of instruction will depend upon the needs and previous
experience of the particular individual or group. Permission
must be received from the instructor for children under 9
years old. Additional times during the week are available
at Bev’s home.
(All
hours: 25 minute private or semi-private lessons. Please
specify 2-3 possible half-hour time slots in order of preference when you
register.)

Guitar
Lessons (FULL - Waiting List)
Instructor:

Bev
will teach students the basics of folk guitar playing, including
10 or more common chords, how to read chord diagrams, typical
chord progressions, ways to strum the guitar, individual notes
and some simple God-honoring songs.
The specific
level of instruction will depend upon the needs and previous
experience of the particular individual or group. Permission
must be received from the instructor for children under 9 years
old. Additional times during the week are available at Bev’s
home.

Piano (FULL - Waiting List)
Instructor:
Chris Digweed
Chris
wishes to instill in her students a love for music
while teaching them the fundamental skills they need for
piano playing. Students will be taught at their individual
level.

7 and up.

About
the teacher:
Chris
Digweed, the founder of The Learning Vine, has
had the privilege of homeschooling her own two children
for the past 13 years, and has taught a variety of subjects
in a variety of settings during that time. Currently, she
teaches piano lessons out of her home in Plainfield which
has been a very joyful endeavor. Chris is a Registered
Dietitian with a B. S. in Nutrition and Medical Dietetics
giving her a strong health and science background. She
also has a true passion for education, and enjoys helping
all her students reach their full God-given potential.

Chris Digweed will be replacing Nicole DiGrazia this semester.
