Language Arts Enrichment
Spring 2012 Semester
| Catagory | Language Arts |
| Course Name | Preschool Literature Hour: When I Grow Up... |
| Teacher | Olson |
| Description | All children love to be read to, and what better place to do it than Preschool Literature Hour? We will be learning about occupations through the eyes of Mr. Small, a series of books written by Lois Lenski. Each week we will read the entertaining books and participate in different activities and a craft related to what Mr. Small did in the book. Sometimes we'll even have a snack related to the theme of the day. Listening comprehension is a very important skill that should be developed early, and we'll do it through the Willy the Wisher stories. The children will enjoy predicting what comes next in the stories and thinking through different scenarios. |
