Friday Support Positions for Spring 2012 Semester

All support position families get early registration, before it opens to the public.

Monitor positions are paid by check at the end of the semester. Any time missed is deducted from the total.

Teacher helpers receive free tuition for their child in that class.  Teachers may choose who is assigned to help in their classes.

Hall Monitor

Credit: $100

Commitment: 1 shift of 1 hour and 40 minutes per week for 12 weeks

Shifts: 8:45 am - 10:25am / 10:25am - 12:05pm / 12:05 pm - 1:45 pm

Number of positions available: 6

Responsibilities: Facilitates signing in and out of students; issues and retrieves temporary lanyards as needed; monitors students in the Teen Study Hall; ensures that students do not go upstairs unaccompanied. Will also be asked to walk the hallways and monitor activity.

Lunch Monitor

Credit: $80

Commitment: 1 hour shift per week for 12 weeks

Number of positions available: 3

Responsibilities: Sets up blankets and tarps in lunch areas, monitors students as they eat lunch, cleans up and vacuums lunch areas.

Teacher Helper

Credit: Tuition is waived for your child in that class

Commitment: assist in class for 12 weeks

Number of positions available: all classes

Responsibilities: Assist teacher as needed with attendance, set up, clean up, and student interaction. If teacher has an emergency situation, the helper is expected to supervise the class. Helpers may be called upon to substitute teach if possible. (Not a requirement, however.)

Limitations: Helpers may not bring other children into the classroom.
