Academic Support Positions
There are several ways for families to receive tuition credits if they are willing to work in a support position. Please indicate on your family application if you are interested in any of these positions:
Title: Hall Monitor
Positions Available: 4
Class periods required: 30 (2 consecutive periods per week for one semester)
Tuition credit: $270
Description: The Hall monitor will sit at a table in the large, open area downstairs and monitor the traffic flow of children. He or she will also be asked to do some light grading for teachers if needed. This position will require service for 2 consecutive class periods each week for one semester (either periods 1-2 or 3-4).

Class periods required: 30 (2 consecutive periods per week for one semester)
Tuition credit: $270
Description: The Study Hall monitor will sit at a table in the Study Hall (room 2A) and monitor children who are there due to not having a class that period. (Students will not be allowed to remain in the building without a parent during off periods.) He or she will also be asked to do some light grading for teachers if needed. This position will require service for 2 consecutive class periods each week for one semester (either periods 1-2 or 3-4). Additional monitors will be added if the number of students in the study hall exceeds 12 during a given period.
Title: Lunch Monitor
Positions Available: 4
Lunch periods required: 15 (each week for one semester)
Tuition credit: $150
Description: The Lunch monitor will convert the study hall into a lunch room and monitor the children during their break (25 minutes). There will be 2 monitors assigned for each break. They will also be responsible for clean up and vacuuming of the lunch room. The work time should not exceed one hour per week.
Title: Set Up Crew (family position)

Sessions required: 15 (each week for one semester)
Tuition credit: $150
Description: This position is ideal for a family with a couple of older children. The Set up crew is responsible to be on site by 7:20 am and set up tables and chairs in each classroom.
Title: Clean Up Crew (family position)
Positions Available: 2
Sessions required: 15 (each week for one semester)
Tuition credit: $150
Description: This position is ideal for a family with a couple of older children. The Clean up crew is responsible to put away all tables and vacuum where needed. (The lunch room, however, will have been vacuumed by the lunch monitors. Teachers and students will stack chairs at the end of the day.) They will be responsible for making sure that the facility is in order before leaving.
Teacher's Assistant
Positions Available: 1 for each class
Sessions required: 30
Tuition credit: 50% discount on tuition for that class for your child
Description: This position will only be granted to a parent who has a child in the class. The Teacher's Assistant sits in on all sessions and helps the teacher with various tasks. No prep is required, but keeping up on the material with your child is the built in prep needed. This person will be asked to substitute teach in emergency situations and will be provided a lesson plan to follow if needed. Additional payment of $25 per class for substitute teaching will be paid directly from the teacher to the assistant.
